Urgent charity shop appeal for bric-a-brac, men's clothing and shoes and electricals

Bric-a-brac, shoes and men's clothing are just some of the items urgently needed by charity shops in Glasgow.

Barnardo’s Scotland stores in and around the city have serious space to fill and are appealing for donations now.

Shops in the south and east of Glasgow, Uddingston and Kirkintilloch need "good-quality" items such as toys, bric-a-Brac, men’s clothing and shoes, women’s coats and electrical items.

Marianna Beattie, Area Business Manager at Barnardo’s Scotland said: "Barnardo's shops are a great place for the community to donate their unwanted items as well as shop for quality goods at fantastic value.

“It’s a worthwhile way to clear space in your home while making sure you re-use and recycle those pre-loved goods.

“Dropping off or picking up a bargain at Barnardo's Scotland is a great way to stand out from the crowd, save a fortune and help us to change a life.

“Whether you donate or buy, you'll be helping the UK’s most vulnerable children and young people”.
