Urgent appeal to trace 'vulnerable' missing pensioner, 80, with dementia

Police  have launched an appeal to trace a missing man who has dementia.

Joe Daly, 80, was last seen on Carrington Street, in the Woodlands area of Glasgow, at around 1.30pm today (May 30).

He is described as white, around 5ft 9 of heavy build and has fair grey hair.

When last seen he was wearing a grey fleece and dark trousers.

Sergeant Joseph Fitzsimmons from Partick Police Station said: “Joe is vulnerable and we are extremely concerned about him, particularly given the weather.

“He does not have a jacket and only a very small amount of money, if any at all.

He has been known to use public transport and I would urge members of the public to keep a look out for him on buses and trains.

“Anyone who thinks they may have seen Joe is asked to contact Partick Police Station via 101, quoting incident number 2330 of Thursday 30 May 2019.”
