Urgent appeal to trace missing man Ross Wright last seen eight days ago

UPDATE: Ross Wright has been found by police.

An appeal has been launched to trace a man reported missing from Dumbarton last week.

Ross Wright, 26, was last seen at 2pm on Wednesday, 13 October in Brucehill Road.

He left there on a bicycle and is believed to have visited a number of places across the Central Belt, including Helensburgh, Blantyre and Glasgow city centre.

Officers have urged the public not to approach the man if he is spotted and instead report any sighting to Police Scotland.

He is described as white, around 5’11” tall with short brown coloured hair. Police enquiries have identified Ross from CCTV wearing a red coloured hooded top and grey jogging bottoms in Glasgow City Centre on Saturday 16 October, 2021.

Inspector Samantha Glasgow said: “We want to trace Ross as quickly as possible and I’d be interested to hear from anyone who has seen or spoken to him since last Friday, 15th October.

“The public should not approach Ross but should report any sightings to Police Scotland immediately.

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident number 2010 of the 13/10/2021 or speak to any officer. Alternatively, they can report anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111”.
