UPDATE as of 4PM, Thursday, February 13: Gary has been found safe and well
Police are appealing for help from the public to find a man missing since this morning.
Gary Young is from Newton Mearns but was last seen around 7am in Balgray Crescent, Barrhead(Thursday, February 13).
The 21-year-old is described as white, 5ft 6in tall with short brown hair.
He was last seen wearing a red hooded jacket, black shorts and black Nike trainers.
Inspector Margaret Brennan, of Cathcart Response Policing, said: “We are becoming increasingly concerned for Gary’s welfare and we are looking for the public's assistance to trace him safe and well.
“If you have seen anyone matching this description in the area then I would ask you to contact police.
“I would also ask anyone who may have dashcam footage of the area to get in touch with officers."
