An appeal has been launched to find a teenage girl who has been missing from her Hamilton home for four days.
14-year-old Jessica McMurray was last seen on Wednesday, December 11 and has not been heard from since 1pm yesterday.
Police Scotland are growing increasingly concerned for her welfare and are calling for anyone with any information about her whereabouts to contact them.
Jessica McMurray is believed to still be in the Hamilton area and is described as being around 5ft 4 with long brown hair. She was last seen wearing a black coloured jacket and black coloured leggings.
Sergeant Stewart Dyer, Hamilton Police Office, said: "Jessica has her phone with her and was last in contact around 1pm yesterday, however, since nobody has seen her in person since Wednesday, we are growing increasingly concerned for her.
“We are appealing for anyone with any information on her whereabouts to get in touch with us as soon as possible.
"Jessica, we would also ask you to get in touch with us or your family to let them know where you are and that you are okay.”
Anyone with any information is asked to contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 3841 of Wednesday 11 December 2019.
