Urgent appeal to find vulnerable Clarkston pensioner missing from her home

An appeal has been launched to help trace a vulnerable pensioner who has gone missing this afternoon from her home.

Rose Quinn, 81, was last seen at her home in The Oval in the Clarkston area around 12.45pm.

She is described as around 4ft 8ins, of slim build with grey hair. She was last seen wearing a cream coat and dark jeans.

Sergeant Gordon Sweeney, of Giffnock Police Office, said: "Rose has dementia and therefore may appear confused. She has links to the Shawlands area and we believe she will be on foot.

"We are appealing for anyone who may have seen her to get in touch with us as soon as possible so we can make sure she is safe and well."

Anyone with any information should contact Police via 101, quoting incident number 2031 of 16 July.
