But Lancashire Police says his car has since been spotted in Carnforth, Lancashire, around 50 miles away from his home village.

Mr Phillips is described as 5ft 10ins tall, of medium-large build and with a bald head.

He also has greying hair and a long, grey beard, Lancashire Police says.

Mr Phillips is also known to have links to the Keswick area, in Cumbria.

Anyone who sees Mr Phillips or has any information on his whereabouts is urged to contact Lancashire Police as soon as possible.

In a post on Twitter, a Lancashire Police spokesperson said: "MISSING: Colin Phillips, 42, from Upholland.

"He has been missing since 12pm yesterday (Monday).

"His car was later seen in Carnforth.

"He is 5ft 10ins, of medium-large build, with a bald head, greying hair and a long, grey beard. Has links to Keswick."

Anyone with details about Mr Phillips' disappearance should call Lancashire Police on 101, quoting log number 1464 of December 6, 2021.
