UPDATE: James has been found safe and well, GMP say.

Police have launched an urgent appeal to find a man who has gone missing from a care home in Didsbury.

James Cleere was last seen turning left out of Ashley House care home on Barlow Moor Road, heading towards Chorlton.

He is described as 5ft 5" and of slim build. He has a bald shaved head and is usually clean shaven with a moustache.

James is thought to be wearing a tracksuit with white horizontal stripes, and a blue Manchester United cap.

He usually wears a copper bracelet and a silver chain bracelet.

Police say James had his bus pass with him and loose change, but does not have a bank card.

They are appealing for anyone who might have seen him to contact them immediately.
