Urgent appeal to find missing boy, 11, last seen in Salford

An urgent police appeal has been issued for the public's help to find a missing 11-year-old boy.

Ashton Laidler was last seen in Salford at 10am on Wednesday.

Police in Salford have released his photograph and brief details.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is being asked to come forward.

Greater Manchester Police's Eccles division said Ashton was last seen on Old Lane in Little Hulton, Salford, but no further details have been released.

He's said to have been wearing grey trousers, a blue shirt and a black puffer-style jacket when he was last seen.

The police appeal is being published on social media channels including Facebook and Twitter.

In a Facebook post, GMP Eccles said: "Ashton Laidler, 11 yrs old, last seen at 10am on 24.04.19 on Old Lane, LH.

"He was wearing grey trousers and a blue shirt and a black puffer jacket.

"If anyone has any sightings of this male please call 101 quoting log 723 24/04/19."

The appeal is also running on the GMP Swinton and Little Hulton page.

UPDATE: Ashton has been found safe and well - 3pm.
