Officers are urgently trying to trace missing Joe Thompson who has disappeared from Stockton.
Joe, 22, was last seen in the area of Rievaulx Close in Stockton on Thursday morning but he is now believed to be in the Gainford or Barnard Castle area of County Durham.
His car has since been found in the Gainford area and a search in that area is ongoing.
Joe is described as white, with a fair complexion, thin build and is around 5ft 10ins.
He has blonde hair and was last seen wearing a black hooded top, black tracksuit bottoms and black trainers.
Officers would ask anyone who may have seen him, or anyone who may know of his whereabouts, to get in touch as a matter of urgency.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101.
