Urgent appeal to find boy, 16, missing from Manchester for nearly a week

Police have made an urgent appeal to help find a 16-year-old boy who has been missing for nearly a week. Samuel Johnson was last seen in Blackley, north Manchester, on August 2.

Officers believe he may have travelled more than 200 miles to Great Yarmouth, Norfolk. He was last seen in Somerfield Road, near North Manchester General Hospital.

Police describe Samuel as slim build with black high top hair. He was last seen wearing a black armour bag, black Berghaus trousers and a blue silver Nike tracksuit top.

His family are increasingly concerned about him and 'just want him home'.

A GMP Manchester North spokesman said: "Samuel Johnson, 16, has been missing since the 2nd August from the Blackley area. He was last seen on Somerfield Road, Blackley, on the morning of Tuesday 2nd August.

"He has possibly travelled to the Great Yarmouth area. He is described as slim build with black high top hair. He was last seen wearing a black under armour bag, black and white trainers, black Berghaus trousers and a blue/silver Nike tracksuit top.

"Samuels family are concerned for him and just want him home. If you have any information please call us on 07584 224 903-PC Helen McNeill or 0161 856 4024."
