Urgent appeal over 'high risk' missing man in his 50s with breathing condition

Police are appealing for help tracing a man with a breathing condition who has gone missing.

John Houghton, 55, was last seen in the early hours of Sunday, September 12 at the Quadrant in Blackley.

He has not been in touch with any of his friends since.

"John has now been missing for over a week and we along with his friends are extremely concerned for his welfare" the GMP's North Manchester division said on their Facebook page.

He suffers with COPD and struggles to breathe they said.

"He is believed to be on his own and his friends are extremely concerned for his welfare" they added.

They are now asking who sees him, or who has information about his whereabouts, to urgently get in touch with them.

People with information are asked to call PC Dave Frame on 07393781595 or to contact the Sgts office on 0161 856 4024.
