Urgent appeal issued for missing child in Belfast

A search operation is underway in West Belfast for a missing child.

The young girl, aged five, was last seen playing in the Clonard area a few hours ago.

Sinn Féin MP Paul Maskey said he has been speaking with authorities in Belfast tonight.

He added: "I have been speaking with the authorities and local community activists in the Clonard Area who are increasingly concerned about the whereabouts of a young child.

"The child, aged 5, was last seen playing in the Clonard area and wearing a pink top, pink bow and black flowery bottoms.

"If anyone has any information please urgently contact this page or the PSNI directly."
