Urgent appeal for missing Uddingston woman as car found outside supermarket

The family of a missing woman who vanished during lockdown are appealing for information.

Lauren Paterson, 26, was last seen at her parents home in Uddingston, South Lanarkshire, at 10am on Monday morning.

She has not been seen since and concerns are growing for her welfare.

Her car, a white Mercedes, was found beside a Scotmid near The Castle Rooms in Uddingston.

Cousin Craig Pringle appealed to his Twitter followers for help in finding her.

He said: "My cousin Lauren Paterson has gone missing in or around Uddingston can I ask for my followers to RT please."

Police Scotland confirmed enquiries are ongoing to trace Lauren Paterson.

"A spokeswoman said she was reported missing to police this afternoon, Tuesday April 14."
