Urgent appeal for missing Leeds man Simon Altham last seen carrying large suitcases

Police have released an urgent appeal to help find a man who has been reported missing from Leeds.

Police say they are concerned for the welfare of Simon Altham, who was last seen at Leeds railway station at 5am on Thursday and is known to have family in York.

The above picture of Mr Altham has been released in a bid to help find him.

A spokesperson for West Yorkshire Police said: "Police are concerned for the welfare of a 55-year-old man who has been reported missing from Leeds.

"Simon Altham was last seen at Leeds railway station in Leeds city centre at 5am on Thursday (September 30).

"He is described as a white male, aged 55, of medium/heavy build, 5ft 10ins tall, with short grey/white hair. He is unshaven with grey/white stubble and speaks with a Yorkshire accent.

"He was last seen wearing large glasses, light blue jeans, a black zipped padded jacket with hood - the zip and inner lining is neon green in colour.

"He was also carrying two large black suitcases and a large folder and is known to have family in York.

"Officers are asking for the public’s help in providing any information about Simon’s movements or whereabouts.

"Anyone with information about him is asked to contact police by calling 101 or using 101 Live Chat on the West Yorkshire Police website, quoting log 67 of 1/10."
