Urgent appeal for missing Glasgow man as concern grows for his safety

An urgent appeal has been launched to trace a missing Glasgow man as officers say they are growing “increasingly concerned” for his safety.

George McAuley was last seen on Friday October 22 in the Kinning Park area at around 7pm.

The 43-year-old was in the area of Paisley Road, Seaward Street and Mavisbank Gardens.

He was then reported missing on Monday, October 25.

He is described as a white male, around 5ft 11in tall with short black/grey hair.

When last seen, George was wearing a black/grey North Face jacket with red lining, grey/black t-shirt and camouflage trousers and dark coloured trainers.

Inspector Stephen Gow, of Greater Glasgow Division, said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for George's welfare and are asking members of the public to help trace him safe and well.

"I would ask if you noticed anyone matching this description that you get in contact with Police.

“Anyone with any information is asked to contact 101 and quote Incident 1202 of Monday, 25 October, 2021.”
