Urgent appeal for help to find 'high-risk' missing woman

Police have issue an appeal for help to find a 'high-risk' missing woman from Wigan.

Claire Axon was last spoken to just before 9pm on Wednesday night, police said. Concerns were raised about her welfare.

The 39-year-old was believed to be wearing a yellow/mustard-coloured puffer jacket, with blue jeans and a black baseball cap. She is described as being 5ft5in tall and is a white female.

Officers shared an appeal on the GMP Leigh, Atherton and Hindley Facebook page in the early hours of this morning (Thursday). They also shared a picture of Claire.

Alongside the post, they added: "Officers are becoming increasingly concerned about Claire's safety." Anyone who knows where she is is being urged to get in touch.
