Urgent appeal as boy, 11, goes missing in cold with 'little clothing on'

An urgent appeal has been issued for an 11-year-old boy who has gone missing from home this evening with "little clothing on".

Greater Manchester Police have tonight urged people to "please be vigilant" and come forward with sightings of or information about the whereabouts of  Talha Tarique.

Talha was last seen near Falmouth Street in Oldham at 6.40pm tonight.

Police say they are concerned for his welfare as "it is very cold outside and he has little clothing on".

In a post on Facebook , Greater Manchester Police in Oldham wrote: "The youth in the picture is missing from home and we need to return him as soon as possible.

"He is called Talha Tarique and is 11 years old. He was last seen near to Falmouth Street, Oldham, at 17.40hrs.

"He is a slim Asian male, wearing a green striped jumper, green pants, blue croc footwear and carrying a black rucksack and riding a small black pedal cycle.

"It is very cold outside and the youth has little clothing on.

"Please be vigilant and report any sightings of the youth."

Anyone with information on Talha's whereabouts is asked to call police on 101 or 999.
