Urgent appeal after mum goes missing with six-year-old son

An urgent appeal has been launched after a mum and her son went missing from Liverpool.

Kelly Rea, 45, and her six-year-old son, Mason Rea, were have not been seen or heard from since before the Bank Holiday weekend.

The pair were last seen in the Bootle area at around 1pm on August 23 and people in the area are being asked to look out for them.

Kelly is described as white, around 5ft 5in tall, of slim build, with blue eyes and brown shoulder length hair.

How to report a missing person

Unfortunately a picture of little Mason could not be found.

A spokesperson for Merseyside Police said: "We’re appealing to the public to help us find a missing mother and her son.

"Kelly Rea, who is 45 and her 6 year old son Mason have been missing from the Liverpool area since Friday afternoon.

"They were last seen on Friday 23 August in the Bootle area at around 1pm.

"Kelly, pictured, is described as white, around 5ft5, of slim build with brown shoulder length hair and blue eyes.

"Unfortunately we do not have a picture of her son Mason."

Anyone that has seen Kelly and Mason, someone resembling Kelly or knows where they could be is urged to contact @MerPolCC or call 101 so we can bring them home safely .
