A 12-year-old Dublin boy has been reported as missing after he 'did not go home after school today'.
Liam Goodwin is a 1st Year student at Holy Family Community School in Rathcoole.
He is in his school uniform and has no jacket, money or phone.
Parents with pupils in the school have been asked to check with their children to see if they know the whereabouts of Liam.
If they know where Liam could be, they are being asked to contact Ballyfermot Garda station.
Shamrock Rovers also issued an appeal for the boy on their Twitter page.
They said: Shamrock Rovers would like to share the appeal for a local boy Liam Goodwin (13) from Rathcoole who is missing.
"Liam did not go home after school today.
"He is in school uniform without a jacket, money or phone. If you have seen a boy fitting this description please alert Gardai.
In a statement gardai said: "Gardaí in Rathcoole Co Dublin wish to seek the public’s assistance in tracing the whereabouts of 12 year old Liam Goodwin missing since approximately 3pm today, Monday 29 April 2019.
"Liam didn’t return home from school today at 3pm. He was wearing a school uniform; Maroon Holy Family uniform, grey shirt, grey trousers, black Nike runners and carrying a cobalt blue Super Dry schoolbag.
"He is described as being 5’9 in height, sandy coloured hair, brown eyes, and sallow skin.
"Gardaí and Liam’s family are very concerned for his welfare and are asking anyone who has seen him or who can assist in locating him is to contact Ballyfermot Garda Station on 01 – 666 7200, the Garda Confidential Line on 1800 666 111 or any Garda Station."
