Urgent allergy warning issued to McDonald's Ireland customers over popular sauce

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland has issued an allergen warning to McDonald's customers due to an ingredient in one of their popular dipping sauces.

Some sauces in a batch of their Sweet’N’Sour Dip contain mustard, which is not on the official list of ingredients.

Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in all McDonald’s restaurants.

This is affecting dips with a best before date of February 23, 2022.

The Food Safety Authority of Ireland issued a notice on their website, saying: "Some packs in a batch of McDonald’s Sweet’N’Sour Dip contain mustard which is not declared in the list of ingredients.

"This may make the affected batch unsafe for consumers who are allergic to or intolerant of mustard. Point-of-sale recall notices will be displayed in all McDonald’s restaurants."
