Urban Meyer says he tested positive for coronavirus, recovered

It’s been a tough year for everyone, and no one it seems is safe from the global pandemic known as COVID-19. We found out today that list includes former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer.

Meyer revealed late Wednesday evening that he had indeed tested positive and has since recovered. He shared the news with WBNS-10TV saying that he was “relatively symptom-free” but also stated that it is “the real deal.”

Meyer also stated that his daughter had also tested positive, but he did not elaborate on further.

The former Buckeye head man now spends his Saturday’s working as an analyst for Fox Sports, but was unable to appear this past weekend due to the virus. Meyer’s co-hosts, Rob Stone, Reggie Bush, Matt Leinart, and Brady Quinn of “Big Noon Kickoff” were also absent on Saturday, but the station stated that it was out of an “abundance of caution.”

Coach Meyer told 10TV that he was the only one to test positive for the virus. He says that he has fully recovered and plans to be back in the studio this week.

We’re glad to hear all is well as we look forward to hearing the coach’s insights on games and teams around the country.
