Urban Meyer picks Ohio State to go to the College Football Playoff on FOX Kickoff Show

Former Ohio State head coach Urban Meyer made his debut on FOX’s new college preview show Saturday and have several sound bites worth taking note of. The show going forward will be known as the Big Noon Kickoff Show, but obviously there’s no noon game for the first Saturday of college football.

His new role includes him as an in-studio analyst with Matt Leinart, Reggie Bush, Brady Quinn, and host Rob Stone. They previewed the season, provided opinion on the games tonight, and finished it off with each analysts prediction on the four teams that’ll get into the College Football Playoff.

And … perhaps to nobody’s surprise, Meyer picked The Ohio State University as one of the four teams to get in. When asked if he’s going with his mind or heart, he admitted it’s “fifty-percent heart, fifty-percent mind.”

“They have as much NFL talent as anybody,” said Meyer. “They have to keep that quarterback healthy.”

You can click the below video to catch the 30-second clip on his four picks.

The other three Meyer picked include Alabama and Clemson of course, and then Oklahoma to round out the four. He has the Tigers taking home the championship for the second year in a row.

Will Meyer be right? The journey kicks off next Saturday against Florida Atlantic, and yeah, it’s of the utmost importance that Justin Fields stays healthy and effective to make a prophet out of Meyer.
