A young urban explorer died after falling more than 15ft through the skylight of an abandoned dairy farm, an inquest heard.
It was more than 24 hours before Ethan Bonnar, 22, was found still alive after being reported missing.
The last thing the Torquay art student did before he died was send his girlfriend a video from the top of Dairy Crest near Totnes railway station.
He was flown to hospital in nearby Plymouth but tragically passed away from his injuries two days after the accident.
The student suffered a traumatic brain injury after dropping through the roof of the disused factory, DevonLive reports.
Ethan loved climbing and exploring old buildings, his girlfriend Charlotte Rose told the inquest.
She would sometimes join him after they befriended a member of Urban Explorers, a forum from Cornwall.
But he would also go on adventures alone, and last July 28 decided to travel by himself to the site.
Charlotte said in a statement she had gone to the farm days before with a friend but they hadn't been able to find a way onto the roof.

She said: "He loved the outdoors and we spent a lot of time on walks and picnics. He loved climbing and was in his element when his parents had scaffolding erected at their house.
"He loved exploring disused buildings and had been in the old Rainbow Fun House and Palace Hotel in Torquay, and the Torbay Berkeley Hotel on the Totnes Road. He often went alone.
"He enjoyed taking photographs and videos."
Ethan had been messaging her from 10am on the day of his death and told her he had managed to get into the site, the inquest heard.
In the afternoon he sent her a video which appeared to show him on the roof. The last contact she had was at about 2.30pm.
After that she assumed his phone battery had died because he stopped replying, but by evening she grew worried and contacted his mum, Cheryl Reynolds.
On Wednesday morning they went to Totnes and found his padlocked bicycle and reported it police, with Charlotte sending in the video he had shared with her to assist the investigation.
Det Sgt Andy Penhaligon of South Devon police who was based at Totnes at the time, said initially a missing person report was lodged on the Tuesday, July 28, and he was sent the video by Charlotte Rose which showed Ethan on the roof.
"If you search on YouTube there are a number of videos of people climbing on to the roof and into the building," Sgt Penhaligon said.
The investigation confirmed that nobody else was involved and it appeared to have been a tragic accident.

Dr Robert Jackson, from Derriford Hospital in Plymouth, confirmed that Ethan died on July 30, 2020 as a result of a traumatic brain injury.
Toxicology showed he had not been using drugs or alcohol at the time of his fall.
South Devon Coroner Ian Arrow recorded a verdict of death by misadventure and told Ethan's parents: "Ethan was a very content person who clearly loved exploring and I am very sorry to hear of his death in these circumstances."
Tributes to Ethan flooded in last summer after his mother started a GoFundMe page in his name which raised more than £5,000 within three days of his death.
Mrs Reynolds said: "We’ve reached our target and we cannot thank you all enough for your support and messages. We are truly overwhelmed and in such a short time. We only wanted to ease the burden. Now we’ve managed to book everything. We are donating the difference to The ADHD Foundation."
The mum spoke out after his death urging other young people to be careful, saying: "What he did was so dangerous. I just want this message to get out there that these young people just don't realise how dangerous it is in these old buildings. I want to tell them 'You don't know what you are walking into'.
"I want to warn them because I told Ethan not to do it and I told him he was being an idiot, but he always thought he would be ok.
"Ethan had ADHD and he liked to do random things. Also he was an arts student and he would go in and takes videos and use them in his work.
"The last thing he sent was this video of him on top of the roof.
"Ethan had a heart of gold. Everybody loved Ethan because he was such a likable, positive, outgoing person."
