Urban explorer finds huge abandoned cannabis factory inside Scottish pub

An urban explorer has found an abandoned cannabis factory inside a Scottish pub.

A group that scours derelict buildings around Scotland shared pictures online of the factory - but they have not revealed the exact location.

Images show huge piles of dried-up plant cuttings in the attic, as well as rows of bags of soil, the Daily Record reports.

The bar area still has tables laid out with drinks and cutlery, as well as an untouched wedding cake on display.

Half-empty bottles of spirits remain on the bar alongside unopened packets of crisps, while boxes of fertiliser are stacked in the back.

The explorer posted images of the “abandoned weed pub” to a social media group with more than 13,000 members.

They wrote: “When drink runs out, let’s get high.”

Despite several requests by social media users to find out where the pictures were taken, the explorer refused to give out the location.

Urban exploring has become massive with more and more bloggers posting on YouTube and social media.

But the pastime has prompted debates on the legalities of accessing private property and appeals from emergency services over safety issues.

Over summer, an urban explorer digging through a creepy abandoned house in the Scottish Highlands uncovered the mummified remains of a cat in the kitchen.

The empty family home was described as being "frozen in time" by YouTuber Adam Mark Explores , in a clip that sees him take his 55k subscribers on a tour of the decaying building.

Upon entering the house, Adam described the “dark and eerie” atmosphere, as well as a silence which he said put him on edge as he made his way through.

The video showed the rotting house scattered with old books, magazines and newspapers, dated between the 1950s and 1970s.

Speaking over the eerie footage, which panned through the different rooms of the house, Adam described the thick layer of dust that coated the furniture and the decayed antique dolls.

"Most of the windows were stained glass which looked amazing with the sun beaming through projecting the colours into the rooms,” Adam said.

Scenes from within the house included a dining room table, covered in dirt but miraculously still set with plates and cutlery.
