A royal watcher has revealed how Meghan Markle was once taken "to the side" by the Queen after complaining about meal.
Author Katie Nicholl claims Meghan got “upset” because she could taste egg in the dish when it was not meant to contain any.
The Daily Star reports how the alleged incident apparently happened when Meghan was sampling food to be served at her wedding reception back in 2018.

Speaking to Yahoo's Royal Box, Ms Nicholl said: "Meghan got very upset when she felt that she could taste egg in a dish when she was told there was no egg in there, and she said, 'No, I can taste it, I can taste there's egg in this dish.'"
Ms Nicholl went on to reveal that the Queen walked in on the incident and "quietly took Meghan to the side"
Her Majesty supposedly told Meghan, who was still due to marry Prince Harry at the time, that the Royal Family does not speak to people "like that".
Meghan and Harry went on to marry in 2018 before leaving their senior roles with the Royal Family in 2020.
The couple live in their US home in California with their newfound freedom allowing them to sign major deals with global brands such as Netflix and Spotify.
On Thursday, a spokesperson for the couple’s foundation Archewell confirmed Meghan’s long-awaited podcast on Spotify would be released in the summer.
Fans of the Duchess of Sussex have been waiting almost two years for new content from Archewell Audio on the streaming platform.
The last podcast produced for Spotify was a Holiday Special in 2020 featuring Sir Elton John and other celebrities.
Meanwhile Harry will miss the Duke of Edinburgh’s memorial service later this month.
The Duke of Sussex will not return to the UK from the US to join the Royal Family at Prince Philip’s memorial at Westminster Abbey on March 29, a spokesperson for the duke confirmed.
However, the spokesman added that Harry does hope to visit his grandmother the Queen soon.
