Upper Newtownards Road closed after collision involving pedestrian

A major Belfast road has been closed after a pedestrian was hit in a crash.

Emergency services were called to the Upper Newtownards Road on Monday morning, September 9, following the single vehicle collision. The air ambulance is in attendance.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and diversions are in place.

A PSNI spokesman said: "Motorists are advised that the Upper Newtownards Road is closed following a single vehicle collision involving a pedestrian this morning.

"Diversions are in place at the junctions with the Beersbridge Road and Grampian Avenue."
