Upmarket Glasgow hair salon raided in early hours leaving door caved in

Police enquiries are underway after a break-in at a boutique hair salon in Glasgow.

Officers were called to Mesart on Great Western Road near to Burnbank Terrace in the west end after 5am this morning to reports of a raid.

Photos taken at the scene just before 9am this morning showed a police officer standing guard outside the front of the salon, with the front door completely caved in.

Police say enquiries into the break-in are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 5.10am on Tuesday, April 12, police in Glasgow received a report of a break-in to a premises on Great Western Road, near to Burnbank Terrace. Enquiries into the matter are at an early stage.”
