Updates from Packers’ Week 2 injury report on Thursday

The Green Bay Packers made only two updates to the Week 2 injury report on Thursday. Left tackle David Bakhtiari (knee) didn’t practice on Thursday after being limited on Wednesday, while tight end Marcedes Lewis had his weekly veteran’s rest day.

Coach Matt LaFleur said Bakhtiari would be on a “day on, day off” practice schedule, so Thursday was a scheduled day off. Will he practice Friday? He’ll need to play against the Chicago Bears on Sunday.

If Bakhtiari can’t play, Yosh Nijman would make another start at left tackle.

A few other important things to note: offensive tackle Elgton Jenkins (knee) and receiver Allen Lazard (ankle) were both still limited on Thursday. They could have a questionable labeling come Friday when the final injury report comes out.

Linebacker Quay Walker and cornerback Keisean Nixon were still full participants. Barring some kind of setback on Friday, both should be available come Sunday.

Starting left guard Jon Runyan (concussion) didn’t practice again on Thursday, meaning he hasn’t advanced to the next stage of the concussion protocol. He is probably a long shot to play on Sunday, meaning rookie Zach Tom could make a start at left guard.

Full participants: LB Quay Walker, OL Jake Hanson, CB Keisean Nixon
Limited participants: WR Allen Lazard, OL Elgton Jenkins
Did not participate: OT David Bakhtiari, OL Jon Runyan, TE Marcedes Lewis

For the Bears, running back Khari Blasingame (personal) and receiver Velus Jones Jr. (hamstring) didn’t practice, while offensive lineman Riley Reiff returned to being a full participant on Thursday.
