An eviction is underway at Bristol's Bearpit after Bristol City Council vowed to take action to secure the roundabout.
The authority said yesterday it could no longer ignore "escalating" public safety fears after a man was left with a facial injury in an attack.
People holed up in the bus and others in the Free Shop have had eviction notices handed to them by enforcement officers.
Two lanes of traffic have been closed off on the roundabout, as well as the subways.
