Updates as a crash on a major shopping street has closed the road both ways.
Lord Street in Southport has been closed both ways with reports a pedestrian has been injured.
Police tweeted: "Please be advised that due to a serious road traffic collision, Lord Street #Southport has been closed between Eastbank St and London St whilst Emergency Services deal with the incident.
"Please avoid the area at this time and find alternative routes."
