Updated: Where Bristol City are predicted to finish with Leeds United tipped to win Championship

With nine games to go, Bristol City sit relatively nicely positioned. However their current form does not fill supporters with the most confidence.

Five matches without a win although two draws (after the 1-1 with Fulham on Saturday) in a row to end a losing spell that included games against the top two.

And with matches against the teams around them, it does look like things are in the hands of Lee Johnson's team - with only Nottingham Forest left to play of the sides in the top six, ahead of possibly playing Preston North End in a grandstand match for the final play-off position.

Bristol City head to Blackburn Rovers next before welcoming Sheffield Wednesday, and heading off to Forest in a game that looks like it may be one of the toughest fixtures left to play.

As it stands, City are predicted to finish ninth in the Championship. That's the bad news, with Cardiff City predicted to yet overtake the Robins.

Leeds United are still tipped to win the league and West Brom to finish second, but Millwall - they believe - are going to grab the final play-off spot ahead of both Preston and City.

Food for thought but there are still plenty of games to go. If the Robins can recover their league form then they may yet be able to achieve their aims.

And maybe spare a thought for Charlton fans, who are tipped to face the drop after a tough return to the English second tier.
