Updated Steelers draft picks following Antonio Brown trade

Now that the Pittsburgh Steelers and Oakland Raiders have agreed in principle to a trade to send disgruntled wide receiver Antonio Brown to Oakland, we can talk about the NFL draft. The Raiders gave the Steelers a third and fifth-round pick for Brown. In addition, the Steelers have agreed to trade offensive tackle Marcus Gilbert to the Arizona Cardinals for one of their two sixth-round picks.

Here’s the Steelers current crop of 10 picks, once all the trades are finalized next week.

First round | Pick 20

Second round | Pick 52

Third round | Pick 66 (from Oakland)

Third round | Pick 83

Fourth round | Pick 122

Fifth round | Pick 141 (from Oakland)

Sixth round | Pick 174 or 179 (from Arizona)

Sixth round | Pick 175

Sixth round | Pick 192

Seventh round | Pick 219

Hopefully, the Steelers can use some of the day-three picks to move up in the second day and land an impact player or two on defense. Pittsburgh also has to now formulate a plan for how to replace the production of Brown. Pittsburgh did a nice job doing it with Le’Veon Bell last year when James Conner stepped in so let’s hope they can do it again.
