Updated look at Tennessee Titans’ cap space after recent moves

The Tennessee Titans have been busy since last Thursday, with everything from making cuts, to re-signing their own players, to handing out a franchise tag.

Here’s a list of the moves the Titans have made so far:

Cuts: Dion Lewis, Cameron Wake, Delanie Walker, Ryan Succop

Re-signings: Ryan Tannehill, Dennis Kelly

Franchise tag: Derrick Henry

Let go: Jack Conklin

Of their major free agents, only Logan Ryan is left without a destination at the moment, and the team has yet to make the move we are expecting, which is to bring in a pass-rusher via free agency.

After all the moves the Titans have made thus far, they have about $28-29 million to spend, according to John Glennon of The Athletic, who cites the numbers of Over the Cap and Spotrac.

With that amount of cash, the Titans can still make a big splash on the free-agent market, or even make a smaller splash and retain Ryan if they so choose; although I wouldn’t expect the latter to happen.

It’s possible for the Titans to create more cap space by cutting more players or restructuring deals, so this number could theoretically go up. Whatever the case may be, Tennessee can still wheel and deal in the days ahead.
