Updated list of Rams’ picks in 2020 NFL Draft after Cooks trade

At the start of the offseason, the Los Angeles Rams had just two picks in the top 125 of the upcoming draft. After adding a compensatory pick and trading away Brandin Cooks for a second-rounder on Thursday, they now have four such selections.

Their first pick still doesn’t come until No. 52 overall, but they now have much more draft capital than they had back in January. Here’s an updated look at their full slate of picks, which includes two each in the second and third rounds.

  • Round 2, No. 52
  • Round 2, No. 57
  • Round 3, No. 84
  • Round 3, No. 104 (compensatory)
  • Round 4, No. 126
  • Round 6, No. 199
  • Round 7, No. 234

The Rams traded away their 2020 and 2021 first-rounders to acquire Jalen Ramsey, and they don’t have a fifth-rounder this year because of the Dante Fowler Jr. trade. Los Angeles packaged a 2022 fourth-round pick in the deal involving Cooks, as well.

With two picks in each of the second and third rounds, the Rams can now move around the board much easier. If there’s a player they covet early in the second round, they can package those two picks together to move up.

By the same token, they can also move down from one of their second-round draft slots and acquire more picks on Day 3, if they so choose.
