Updated Irish horse racing fixtures as coronavirus protocols change racing schedule

A number of changes have been made to Irish horse racing fixtures following an announcement by Horse Racing Ireland today.

Racing will continue behind closed doors and a number of new measures have been introduced to combat the potential spread of coronavirus.

Double-fixtures and evening fixtures were scrapped as part of the new protocols.

Those adjustments have altered the upcoming racing schedule and a revised fixture list was released by HRI this afternoon.

The meeting at Naas, which had been scheduled for Sunday, March 22, has been moved to next Monday, March 23.

The meeting scheduled for Dundalk on Friday, March 27 has been brought forward to Wednesday, March 25 and becomes an afternoon fixture.

The Navan meeting on Saturday March 28 has also been brought forward and will now be held on Friday March 27.

The meeting scheduled for the Curragh on Sunday March 29 is another fixture with a new date. It will now be held on Saturday March 28.
