Latest Covid vaccine calculator shows when you should get the jab

A coronavirus vaccine calculator has been updated to show when people under the age of 50 could get the jab.

Recent figures for Monday, February 22, show that across the UK, 17.9m have received their first jab while 642,788 have received their second dose of the vaccine.

The government says that every adult should have their first dose by July 31 under the Prime Minister's accelerated plan.

You can see when you will likely receive the vaccine using the calculator, which has been updated since Boris Johnson's announcement.

This calculator estimates where you are in the queue to receive a Covid vaccine.

It is based on the proportion of people vaccinated since December 8 against the nine-point priority list released by the UK government.

The last on the list is the under 50s.

For example, the calculator predicts an under 50 year old, who is not a care home or hospital worker, and is not clinically vulnerable or has underlying health issues, should expect to get their first dose of the jab between April 4 and May 31.

They should then receive their second dose between June 5 to August 23.

This is way before Mr Johnson's pledge.

Health services are delivering the vaccine in Hospital Hubs and Local Vaccination Services across Nottingham and Nottinghamshire.

There is also have a larger scale vaccination centre in Mansfield.

The hospital hubs are: Queen’s Medical Centre, City Hospital and King’s Mill Hospital.

The local vaccination services include:

Ashfield Health Village

Cripps Health Centre

Forest Recreation Ground

Gamston Community Centre

King’s Meadow Campus

Newark Showground

Richard Herrod Centre

Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation (JCVI) advises that the first priorities for the Covid vaccination programme should be the prevention of mortality and the maintenance of the health and social care systems.

It's recommended list of those who should received the vaccine first is below.

1) Residents in a care home for older adults and their carers
