The Rams are reaching the end of the soft part of their schedule this week as they gear up to host the 1-6 Texans. It’s their third straight game against a team with one win or fewer, and it’s no surprise that they’re favored pretty heavily over Houston.
The Rams opened the week as the biggest favorites of any team in Week 8 and that hasn’t changed despite Tyrod Taylor’s potential return for the Texans. As of Friday morning, the Rams are 14.5-point favorites against Houston, according to Tipico Sportsbook.
The over/under is 47.5 points, while the Rams moneyline is -1100 – the highest of any team this week. In other words, a $1,100 wager on the Rams would return a profit of $100, so there isn’t much reward that comes with a bet on the moneyline.
Since 2017, the Rams have been favored by at least 10 points 11 times. They’re 9-2 in those games but have only covered the spread six times. Most recently, they beat the Lions 28-19 last week, failing to cover the spread. This season, the Rams are 4-3 against the spread and the Texans are 3-4 ATS.
