Update: seven more Edinburgh schools close due to ongoing snow

Parents are being asked to collect their children "as soon as they can" from certain schools in the city.

A press release from the City of Edinburgh Council lists the schools that were open this morning but are now shut due to fresh snowfall. All special schools closed with immediate effect.

The primary schools sending pupils home are:

Cramond, East Craigs, Granton, St Katherine's, Craigentinny, Roseburn and St John's.

Nurseries at Flora Stevenson's Stockbridge and St Peter's have also closed. The Moffat early years centre will also close. The associated primary schools will remain open.

More council updates on schools, gritting, pavements and bin collections can be found at this link. The council also issues updates on Twitter @Edinburgh_CC.
