Update on man in critical condition after being found with head injuries in Nottingham

A man remains in a critical condition after he was found with head injuries late at night in a Nottingham street.

The man was found in Shelton Street near to the junction of Wellington Street in St Ann's following an incident that is believed to have taken place between 12.35am and 12.45am on Saturday, August 8.

The man is thought to have suffered head injuries in the incident and police are now working to establish the circumstances.

Officers investigating the circumstances are re-appealing for any information and witnesses.

Investigation Officer Sophie Law, of Nottinghamshire Police, said: “We are working to piece together what happened to the man and are appealing for any information that may aid us in our investigation.

“Did you hear something suspicious in the area at the time? Did you see something out of ordinary? Do you have any CCTV in the area?

“Anything you have, no matter how insignificant you think it may be, could help us find out what happened to the man.”

If you have any information or footage that could aid officers in their investigation, please contact Nottinghamshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 103 of 8 August 2020.
