Furniture giant Ikea says it has no plans to reopen stores this weekend, despite reports to the contrary.
National media have reported Ikea is planning to trial reopening some stores this weekend.
It follows a change in Government rules which mean that homeware stores are now allowed to open again.
Chains such as Matalan and Dunelm have already taken advantage of the changes to open some branches while DFS and Furniture Village will reopen this weekend.
ScS said it plans to reopen as soon as possible.
But Ikea today said there is no update on when its branches will reopen across the UK.
A spokesman said: "I can confirm that our stores in the UK and Ireland will remain closed for now."
