Update: Death of woman in Lawrence Weston 'non-suspicious', say police

A woman discovered dead in a Lawrence Weston property died of natural causes, police have said.

Officers were called to the address in Campbell Farm Drive shortly before 2pm yesterday afternoon (December 27).

On arrival, officers found the body of a woman and cordoned off the property while police inquiries got under way.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary has now confirmed that the death is being treated as "non-suspicious".

A man who was previously arrested in connection with the incident has been released without charge.

A police spokesman confirmed today (December 28): "The death of a woman, whose body was found in a property in Lawrence Weston yesterday, has been referred to the coroner.

"The body was found in a property in Campbell Farm Drive at about 2pm.

"A post mortem held today confirmed that the woman died of natural causes and the matter has been referred to the coroner as a non-suspicious sudden death.

"A man who was arrested in connection with the incident has been released without charge."
