Postal workers, teachers and nurses have all voted in favour of strike action and there are still ballots that are due to take place. It comes after months of disruption caused by rail, school and waste workers among others.
It appears that the so-called " winter of discontent " isn't easing with potential disruption in the run-up to Christmas.
Although many will be relieved to hear that the ScotRail December strikes, which would have taken place every weekend leading up to Christmas, have been called off while the RMT ballots its members on a new pay deal. This comes after the Network Rail strikes which were due to take place on November 5, 7 and 9 were also suspended to allow for further pay negotiations.
