Up to 65 jobs could be cut in Virgin Media over the next month in a bid to improve growth.
The media giant, who provide mobile, telecom and TV production services, currently employ 1600 people across the country.
A spokeswoman confirmed that they will be consulting the affected employees over the next 30 days.
She said: “We are entering a new phase of transformation to ensure continued revenue growth.
“This involves making some difficult decisions which will impact a number of roles in the Virgin Media Ireland business.
“It is envisaged that up to 65 roles may potentially be impacted and we have entered a 30-day consultation period with people impacted.”
UPC Ireland rebranded as Virgin Media in 2015.
They then bought TV station TV3 and rebranded it to Virgin Media in 2018.
They also operate a popular mobile phone service.
