A huge motorway pileup in Canada left nine people seriously injured and 60
The vehicles smashed into each other on Highway 15 in Montreal.
Snow and ice on the road provided the perfect conditions for the smash, which saw 100 cars and trucks collide.
A live stream of the scene broadcast by Radio Canada shows the pile up stretching back along the road by about 20 metres.
According to the outlet just shy of 60 people have been rushed to Hôpital Charles-Le Moyne in Longueuil for treatment.

Quebec's Transport Minister François Bonnardel said the chain reaction of collisions was likely caused by a sudden whiteout, as blowing snow severely limited visibility in the area.
The highway was closed for a stretch of 10km behind the crashed vehicles while emergency service workers try to free those still stuck inside.
A school bus was one of the vehicles caught up in the mass collision, Radio Canada reported.

Its front was thoroughly smashed in the crash, pushing it back into the windscreen.
It is not clear currently whether any children were on board.
A rubbish truck and a car transporter were also involved.
Photos from the scene show cars smashed into snowbanks which run alongside the road.
