Up to £20k in Asian gold stolen from shop owner's flat in distraction burglary

Up to £20,000 in Asian gold was stolen from a shop owner's flat in a distraction burglary.

Police officers investigating the case are now appealing for information and warning other businesses to stay vigilant following the burglary in a Nottinghamshire village.

Three men and four women entered a local news shop on Main Road, Jacksdale, and while the men and two of the women distracted the shopkeeper, the other two women entered the house above.

Around £20,000 worth of Asian gold was stolen from the property before the group left quickly.

The incident happened earlier in the year on January 10, 2019.

If you recognise them, or have any information please call 101, quoting incident number 851 of 10 January 2019, or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
