Jodie Haydon and Anthony Albanese's nuptials at The Lodge on Saturday have made history as the first marriage of an Australian prime minister while in office.
But who is Australia's new "first lady"?
* Ms Haydon has had a 20-year career in the superannuation industry and has worked as a women's advocate for the NSW Public Service Association
* The 46-year-old, born in Bankstown, is the head of strategic partnerships at Teachers Mutual Bank
* She grew up on the NSW Central Coast and is the daughter of schoolteachers, who are lifelong Labor voters
* Ms Haydon met Mr Albanese in late 2019 when attending a national union conference in Melbourne, where he was a keynote speaker
* She called out "up the Rabbitohs" at the event and Mr Albanese later introduced himself to her as the only other Rabbitohs fan in the room, according to a previous News Corp interview
* The pair then met for a beer at Young Henrys Brewery in Newtown after Ms Haydon messaged him on X (then known as Twitter), with their relationship kept private throughout the COVID-19 pandemic
* In October 2023, Mr Albanese told 2Day FM he felt "lucky" to have found love for a second time, after his marriage with former NSW deputy premier Carmel Tebbutt ended in 2019
* Ms Haydon accompanied the prime minister during both the 2022 and 2025 federal election campaigns, also attending official prime ministerial visits to Dubai, Paris, New York and London
* Mr Albanese proposed to Ms Haydon at their home, The Lodge, on Valentine's Day 2024 after they shared a meal at Italian and Sons in Canberra
* The couple had their quiet nuptials at the same place, with about 60 guests
