PRAYAGRAJ: An FIR was registered against Jansatta Dal Loktantrik (JDL) chief and Kunda MLA Raghuraj Pratap alias Raja Bhaiya and 17 others for kidnappping and assaulting an SP booth agent on Sunday.
The complainant, Rakesh Kumar Pasi, alleged that during polling on February 27, he was on duty in Raiyyapur when JDL booth agent Tinkoo Singh received a phone call asking him to "remove Rakesh from the booth" so that they could "capture the booth".
Following this, Raghuraj Pratap, and 17 others arrived at the booth and forcibly took him away and attacked him.
An FIR was also lodged against SP nominee Gulshan Yadav and 30-35 others on the complaint of one Vijay Pratap Singh. Vijay said the group had threatened him for not voting in his favour, ransacked his house and damaged photos of CM Yogi Adityanath and PM Narendra Modi.
