UP: Shivpal meets Mulayam Singh Yadav to seek blessings before polling

KANPUR: President of the Pragatisheel Samajwadi Party-Lohia (PSP-L) met elder brother and SP patron Mulayam Singh Yadav at his residence in Etawah on Sunday morning to seek his blessings before polling.

Shivpal was accompanied by his son Aditya Yadav.

Sharing pictures with Mulayam on the social media, Shivpal wrote: “Took blessings from respected ‘Netaji’ (Mulayam Singh Yadav), the source of inspiration and energy for all of us.”

“I am sure we will register a big victory in the election. I think our alliance will get around 300 seats,” he said.

Shivpal appealed to the people to vote for the all-round development of UP.

“I appeal to all of you to vote for the progress, prosperity and development of Uttar Pradesh and become a participant in democracy. May the plant of our democracy flourish on the fertile soil of reason, tolerance and humanity. Let the values of liberty and equality make the roots of democracy stronger,” he said.

Shivpal is contesting from his traditional seat of Jaswantnagar in Etawah.
