LUCKNOW: Hitting out at Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav for trying to take credit for all development work in the state, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday said: “Lagta hai Akhilesh Yadav ji ye bhool gaye ki Uttar Pradesh ka nirman bhi swayam unhone hi kiya tha.”
In an interview to a media house, the CM said if one were to look at the projects which SP claims to have done, like the Gomti River Front project, all the work done under the previous government was embroiled in corruption.
“As far as the Purvanchal Expressway is concerned, only 20% of the work had been done. We bought 96% of the land in a year and then laid the foundation stone. Five expressways are under construction at present,” he said. The CM said that his government would make Mathura a great tourist destination and the Braj Teerth Vikas Parishad was carrying out work to develop the area.
“In the last five years, UP has implemented extensive reforms to shrug off the tag of ‘BIMARU’ state and emerge as the growth engine of the country,” he said.
